James Lee, who was killed by SWAT team after holding hostages in the building of the Discovery Channel Wednesday, apparently based its environmental activism, on the basis of works of Daniel Quinn, author of several books about the human condition and the wider environmental and social issues.
Crisis started as Lee entered the headquarters of the popular Discovery and TLC channels cable covered with what were described as pipe bombs.
Police refused to give information regarding the nature of the negotiations. Many suspect that trying to speak with the manager to change the programming on the station.
Lee is well-known activist who was spotted by sentries before the Discovery Channel.
Groups like Voluntary Human Extinction Movement (VHEMT), that have been advocating the end of humanity for years, receiving occasional mainstream media attention along the way.
